The Anker Soundcore V30i are open-ear earbuds with soft, flexible ear hooks. They sit outside your ear canal, so you hear matatu conductors, bus announcements and oncoming cars while your music plays. Each earbud weighs 9.3g and plays 12 hours per charge, with 36 hours in total from the case. A 10-minute charge gives 3 hours.

The ear hooks use soft, elastic TPU. Nothing presses into your ear canal, so people with sensitive ears wear them for hours. If they press too hard, bend the hooks out slightly.
The 14.2mm bio-material diaphragm pushes stronger bass than most open-ear earbuds. Directional acoustics aim the sound at your ear, so at normal volume people near you hear little.
IPX5 with SweatGuard uses a nano-coating and sealed chambers around the chip and battery. The earbuds handle sweat and rain. The case has no water rating. Do not swim with them.
By default, double-tap the right earbud to play or pause and double-tap the left to skip. Set single tap and long press in the app, and turn on volume control there too. Control lock disables touch while you work out.
Outdoors in heavy traffic, the open design lets loud noise compete with your music. For noisy commutes, noise cancelling earbuds suit you better.
To reset, open the case with the earbuds inside and hold the case button for 10 seconds until the light flashes red three times.
