Delivery Policy

This page explains how Goldec gets your order to you, what it costs, how long it takes and how you pay. It applies to every order placed on goldec.co.ke, by phone, by WhatsApp or by email.
1. Where We Deliver
We deliver to any town in Kenya. Delivery inside Nairobi CBD costs nothing. Other parts of Nairobi attract a small fee, and we tell you the exact amount before your order leaves the shop.
Orders going outside Nairobi travel by courier. You pick the courier, for example G4S, Fargo Courier or a matatu parcel service, and you pay the fee that courier charges.
2. Picking Up From Our Shop
Prefer to collect? Visit us at Terry House, Mfangano Street, 3rd floor, shop number 132, Nairobi CBD. Call or WhatsApp us before you come so we have your item ready.
3. How Long Delivery Takes

Countrywide times also depend on your town and the courier you choose. Traffic, weather and courier backlogs sometimes slow things down. When that happens, we contact you before the expected time passes and agree on the next step with you.
4. Delivery Address
Give us a physical address with a landmark, such as a building name, street or nearby stage. We do not deliver to PO Box addresses.
Most couriers hold parcels at their office in your town for you to collect. G4S and Fargo Courier also deliver to a physical address. Tell us at checkout if you want doorstep delivery outside Nairobi, and we will pass the instruction to the courier.
5. Before We Dispatch
We call or text you to confirm that you will be available to receive the order. If the time does not suit you, name a better time and we send the rider then. Keep your phone on until the order reaches you, because the rider calls on arrival.
6. Checking Your Order on Arrival
Open the package in front of the rider. Confirm that you received the right item, colour and model, and that it powers on or works where that is possible. Report any problem at that point. Our Return Policy explains what happens next.
7. Paying for Your Order
Inside Nairobi, you pay on delivery by M-Pesa or cash. We ask for payment before dispatch in these cases:
- The delivery location is known for insecurity or theft. This protects our riders and the goods they carry.
- The order total is above KES 50,000. Here we ask payment before dispatch.
- The order is a gift, or the person receiving it is not the person who placed the order.
Outside Nairobi, you pay the full order amount plus the courier fee before we hand the parcel to the courier.
8. Delivery Fees on Returns
The delivery fee you pay at checkout is often lower than what our rider charges us. If you return an item for a reason that is not our fault, you pay the rider's full charge for that trip, not the reduced fee you paid at checkout.
