The Anker Soundcore Motion+ (Motion Plus) is a portable Bluetooth speaker with 30W stereo sound, Hi-Res Audio and Qualcomm aptX. Two tweeters, two neodymium woofers and passive radiators cover 50Hz to 40kHz, and the speaker tilts upward at 15° to spread sound across a room. aptX streams near-lossless audio from Android phones that support it. The DSP splits highs, mids and lows across separate amplifiers so each driver plays its own range.
BassUp boosts low frequencies in real time. Press the BassUp button to turn it on. BassUp works as its own EQ mode, so switch back to your Custom EQ in the app afterwards.
IPX7 means the speaker survives immersion in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes. Rain and spills do not stop it.
Plug in a 3.5mm cable and the speaker switches to AUX mode by itself. Control playback from the connected device. The USB-C port charges the speaker only and does not charge phones.
For stereo, pair two Motion+ speakers for separate left and right channels, controlled from one phone. Keep them within 5 metres of each other with nothing electronic between them, and place the main speaker on the right. Motion+ units bought after November 2022 do not pair in stereo with units bought before then.
For calls, face the microphone next to the BassUp button.
If the speaker has sat unused and will not turn on, the battery has likely run flat. Charge it for at least an hour before you turn it on.
To reset, hold the Bluetooth button and Volume Up together for 5 to 10 seconds until the speaker restarts.
