The Anker Soundcore Boom Go 3i is a palm-size Bluetooth speaker with 15W output, BassUp 2.0 and 92dB peak loudness. Battery life in Soundcore’s lab test with the default EQ:
- 40 hours at 50% volume, lights off, Eco Mode
- 24 hours at 50% volume, lights off, BassUp Mode
- 6 hours at 100% volume, lights on, BassUp Mode
Press the Mode button to cycle between BassUp, Normal and Eco Mode. Eco Mode turns off the lights and BassUp to save power. Hold the Mode button for 2 seconds to turn the lights on or off, and press it twice to switch light effects.
IP68 means the speaker is dust-tight and protected against water immersion. If “EC” appears on the display while charging, moisture is in the charging port. Unplug the cable and let the port and cable dry fully before charging again.
The speaker charges your phone through its USB-C port. In Soundcore’s test, it charged an iPhone 17 from 0% to 40% in about 1 hour, and to 63% from a full speaker battery. Reverse charging stops when the speaker drops below 10%.
The mount strap loops around a bike handlebar, backpack strap or tent pole and clicks into its latch. Clip it back on itself to form a carry handle.
Press the power button 5 times to sound the 92dB emergency alarm. Press any button to stop it.
The Voice Amplifier in the app turns your phone into a microphone and plays your voice through the speaker, for guiding a group outdoors.
The speaker enters pairing mode when you turn it on. Select “soundcore Boom Go 3i” on your phone. With one phone connected, press the Bluetooth button once to add a second. Audio switches to whichever phone starts playing.
For stereo, connect one speaker to your phone, then hold the Bluetooth button on both speakers for 2 seconds. Press it twice to swap the left and right channels. For three or more speakers, press the Auracast button on each one. Auracast links Soundcore speakers on the same protocol. It does not connect with PartyCast speakers such as the Flare 2, Glow Mini or Select 3.
Button controls:
- Power: press to turn on, hold 2 seconds to turn off, press 5 times for the alarm
- Play/Pause: press once to play or pause, twice to skip forward, three times to go back
- Volume Up and Down: press to change volume
- Bluetooth: press to pair, hold 2 seconds for stereo pairing
Use a charger rated between 0.05W and 15W. With no device connected, the speaker turns off after 20 minutes. Change this in the app.
To reset, hold the Bluetooth button and Volume Up together for 10 seconds.
