The Anker Soundcore Boom 2 Plus is the biggest speaker in the Boom 2 range: two 50W woofers and two 20W tweeters in a 2+2 stereo setup. BassUp 2.0 raises output from 100W to 140W and reaches 103dB, with bass down to 40Hz. It is rated IPX7, floats, plays up to 20 hours and charges your phone at 10W.

The two woofers have 9,500mm² of combined surface area and move ±15mm, which is where the deep bass comes from. Soundcore rates BassUp 2.0 on the Boom 2 Plus at 1.6 times the bass of first-generation BassUp on the Motion Boom Plus.
IPX7 means the speaker survives immersion in water, and it floats at the pool or beach. Seal the waterproof cover tightly before it goes into water.
The USB-C port on the back both charges the speaker and charges your phone at 10W. With a 30W Power Delivery charger the speaker fills in about 3 hours. After you plug in, the indicator takes a few seconds to show charging while the speaker negotiates fast-charge power. It charges best between 0°C and 35°C, and stops charging if the battery goes above 45°C or below 0°C.
Use the 3.5mm AUX input for devices without Bluetooth.
Soundcore has released two versions of the Boom 2 Plus:
- Current version: Bluetooth 6.0 with Auracast. Links with other Auracast Boom 2 and Boom 2 Plus units, Boom Go 3i, Rave 3 and Rave 3S
- Earlier version: Bluetooth 5.3 with PartyCast 2.0. Links with up to 100 PartyCast speakers, such as the Boom 3i, Flare 2, Glow Mini and Select 3
The two versions do not pair with each other.
For stereo, turn on two Boom 2 Plus speakers of the same version and hold the Bluetooth button on both until the light flashes white. A tone confirms pairing.
With no audio signal or connection for 20 minutes, the speaker turns off. Change or turn off the timer in the app.
To reset, turn the speaker on, then hold the Bluetooth button and Volume Up together for 5 to 10 seconds. You hear a tone and it restarts.
